Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD)
Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) is a debilitating condition that causes significant impairment in wellbeing and functioning during the luteal phase of your cycle (roughly 10 - 7 days before your period starts). Symptoms include severe mood swings, depression, irritability and anger, feelings of hopelessness, fatigue, sleep disturbances, difficulty concentrating, and changes in appetite. At it's most severe, PMDD can result in suicidal thoughts. These symptoms usually resolve within 2 - 3 days of your period starting.
Having a diagnosis of PMDD myself, I know how isolating and terrifying this can be. This is why I will be offering three self-support treatment options for PMDD, to meet you wherever you find yourself on your journey.
